Channel ICT is the product of more than 40 years work, involvement and interest in the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector by the owner, Mark Pittman, who enjoys the loving and patient support of his wife and a growing family. Having left school in the late 'sixties' Mark served in the Royal Air Force as an electronics engineer working alongside the London Air Traffic Control Centre (LATCC), at that time located in MIddlesex UK. The family returned to Pembrokeshire, Wales in the early eighties and Mark started work for a family firm that sold domestic electricals.
In the mid-eighties he started his own business computer company providing management information systems to a number of vertical markets including retail, construction, plant hire, property and financial services. You may note that this is about the same time that the IBM PC first hit the desktop market place - a long time ago when a mouse had four legs and Windows were made of glass and wood. Having worked for a number of successful IT firms within the UK and providing a variety of complex business solutions, Mark has now settled down, avoiding the motorway network as much as possible and put his knowledge and experience to good use for the benefit of small businesses.
Mark was an active member of LIons Clubs International for more than 20 years holding posts at local, region and district level, firmly believing in their motto "We Serve". He holds the Certificate in Business Studies, Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and whilst studying for a BA in Business Studies has investigated areas of Marketing, HR and business structures as well as successfully completing the course 'Information and Communication Technologies at Work'.
Channel ICT services include web design, domain name registration (web-site name), email set-up, web site hosting, email marketing and email security. We provide a full range of hosting packages and for those who feel confident in their ICT skills and want to do-it-yourself we can provide product support for a range of recommended, tried and tested products. For those that want to take things even further we also offer search engine optimisation and fully featured e-commerce solutions.
We provide low-cost web sites and on-line services for the "smaller" small business. We design sites with a 'look and feel' that matches the way you work, allowing your products and services to compete visually with larger enterprises.
